"Give me yesterday’s bread, this day’s flesh, and last year’s cider."

Benjamin Franklin

Horse Kick Cider

Our aim is to produce a high quality, natural product using the techniques of old. The result is a slightly effervescent, cloudy apple cider that resonates with the oak in which it matured. The cider is unpasteurised, unfiltered, has no added sugars, flavourings or colourings. In short… apple cider the way Mother Nature intended.

History

Set up in 2016, Horse Kick Cider Ltd is a cottage craft industry producing small batches of traditional, oak aged cider at Chasemore Farm in Surrey.

Chasemore Farm is a highly successful horse breeding stud, and every Autumn the resident nanny mare, Lassie, is used to drive the apple press. This is normally a quiet time of year for Lassie, and it is a job she is very fond of.

Community

Horse Kick Cider is also a community project; local enthusiasts are encouraged to get in touch, bring their own apples (all varieties welcome!) and take part in the wonderful process of cider-making.

Help is repaid in cider bottles the following Spring, depending on weight of apples brought or hours of labour donated (over 18’s only). Please get in touch to allow us to plan for apple volume and manpower.
